After a two-year construction programme, St James, the new retail and leisure scheme in Dover town centre, has now opened.

The 156,915 sq ft scheme next to the A20 has added a dozen new shops and restaurants to the Kent town, together with a Cineworld, Travelodge, an Anytime Fitness gym and 445 parking spaces.

One of the latest new tenants is Superdrug, which is fitting out a 3,000 sq ft store. It will join such well-known brands as M&S, Next, The Food Warehouse, Poundland, Trespass, Costa, Bella Italia, Frankie & Benny’s, Nandos, Card Factory, Carphone Warehouse and Greggs. Only six units remain vacant, of which deals have been agreed on four.

The £53m scheme was funded by Legal & General and developed by Bond City.

HRH Retail is joint letting agent.
