ST JAMES BREATHES NEW LIFE INTO DOVER
Following the recent opening of the St James retail and leisure scheme in Dover town centre, Property Week has published an article on the impact it is having (15th June 2018, p43), with a contribution from HRH Retail, joint letting agent.
“St James has given visitors who previously headed straight for the ferries a reason to come into the town centre and explore the shops,” Tim Hance of HRH Retail told PW. “It has encouraged residents who previously travelled to neighbouring towns to stay in Dover. And it’s created an evening economy.
“The retail-led, mixed use scheme has brought together several large store users such as M&S, Next and The Food Warehouse alongside a six-screen Cineworld cinema, six restaurants, a 108-bed Travelodge and a gym, plus standard-sized shops more akin to a town centre environment.
“With 14 million vehicles set to go past the development every year to and from the port, coupled with extensive new housing and major redevelopment plans for the Western Docks, St James is strategically placed to benefit considerably in the future.”
The new development is already 90% let and, with four units under offer, there are only three units left available.
