SAINSBURY’S DOUBLES UP IN GREENWICH

Sainsbury’s has more than doubled the size of its store in Berkeley Homes’ Kidbrooke Village in Greenwich, south-east London.

The food retailer outgrew the 4,000 sq ft convenience store it acquired in the development in 2012. It has now opened a new store of 9,000 sq ft, having surrendered the lease on the original unit back to Berkeley Homes and signed a new 15-year lease from December 2018 at an annual rent of £216,000.

Sainsbury’s is an integral part of Kidbrooke’s Village Centre, which lies at the heart of the new development of 4,800 new homes, close to Kidbrooke station.

HRH Retail advised Sainsbury’s.
